We are surrounded by textiles that clothe us, warm us, delight us, protect us and maybe even adorn us and our living spaces. Many cultures around the world have strong traditions around their textiles with beliefs that they create protection or status. Others just delight in the beauty and variety of textiles available today, especially those that are made by hand, one at a time. Many feel a strong sense of connection to the heritage that is passed through the generations from hand stitched linens and quilts. Others love to learn new techniques and work with new materials that flood the market today.
The Craft Guild is now offering classes in fiber arts. Learn to create your own one of a kind item. Join in the pleasure of learning and creating in a warm group setting. Try your hand at something new or work on a time honored tradition.
